Camp Imagine is honored to be one of over 100 local nonprofit partners in Community Foundation of Lorain County's Connect to a Cause — a county-wide, single-day giving event happening Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 8AM to 8PM.

For six weeks each summer, Camp Imagine combines extended school year (ESY) services with a camp experience for developmentally disabled children in Pre-K through 12th grade across Lorain and parts of Cuyahoga County — held at Avon Lake High School. Students who qualify for ESY receive individualized academic instruction, related services, and recreational activities through age 21, helping them maintain skills instead of losing ground over the summer. Most students are enrolled through their school district, and every gift made through the Connect to a Cause portal directly supports that mission.

How to give:

Online (recommended): Visit peoplewhocare.org/connecttoacause any time between 8AM and 8PM on September 17 — the link only works that day, so there's no need to bookmark it early. Online gifts are also the only gifts eligible for day-of bonus pool prizes.
Check or cash: Drop off at the Community Foundation of Lorain County office (9080 Leavitt Road, Elyria, OH 44035) by 8PM, with a completed donation form.
